World Expo Shanghai 2010

Today, I learned about the next world expo in China and about the awesome pavilions built by participating countries. Apparently, Canada is not one of the coolest as it was designed by Cirque du Soleil instead of an architect. Seriously. But it will be popular because Cirque performers will entertain people waiting in line to get in.
Denmark sent the original Little Mermaid statue to China for the expo. The UK building looks likes a giant koosh ball. The Italians made theirs using transluscent concrete. And the French shipped 6 paintings and a sculpture from the Louvre, each on a separate plane, so in case a plane goes down, only 1 of the masterpieces will be lost.
